Cold Crackers

We are driving in the car on the way home from Memere's and Grandpa's house.  They gave her a cracker to take on the road.  The temp is 32 outside and a wind chill of 15 degrees.

Daughter: Daddy, my cracker is cold.

Me: You don't want your cracker anymore because it's cold?

Daughter: No. It's cold, I don't want it. (Gives me the cracker)

I proceed to roll down the window and throw the cracker out.

Daughter: Daddy, I want a crackerrrrrr!

I roll my eyes.

Me: I'll give you a cracker when we get home, a warm one...

When we pull into the driveway, I see she still has a cracker in her hand...
